Residents will have the option of cooking their own meals and entertaining guests within the privacy of their own homes or having meals delivered to their home (for an additional fee). Swan Hill Village will also have a dining room located within the Country Club. With prior notice, arrangements can be made for those special functions, such as birthdays, anniversaries or family get-togethers in the dining room. The cost of these functions will be at the residents’ own expense.

At Swan Hill Village you will:

• Know your neighbours and have a real sense of security
• Have the option to be free of the responsibilities of a larger home, with the freedom to travel in the knowledge that all is cared for whilst you are away.
• Have the security of being in a Village with advanced 'call based' security systems to Alcheringa who can provide on site assistance.

As a resident of Swan Hill Village not only do you have the choice to be as involved in the community in the form of attending events and participating on committees as you wish but you also have the right to peace and privacy when needed.

Each home is being designed with comfort and privacy in mind. Issues relating to overlooking of neighbours are being addressed in the design process. Your home within the village will be your own private haven when you need peace and time to yourself.

Consulting rooms will be available in the Country Club for visiting medical and/or allied health professionals.

Swan Hill Village will also be equipped with a 24 hour a day, all year emergency call system attended by appropriately trained staff.

There is also a 24 hour emergency response system, professional on- site management and care support on the premises in an arrangement with the Aged Care Facility.

Alcheringa's appointed Community Liaison staff will assist and/or arrange appropriate home and personal care services.

For those folk who have special health needs, there will be fees associated with provision of personal and/or home care services.
